This is Coach Geertsen's 6th season as the Jordan Beetdiggers basketball coach. Coach Geertsen has been coaching for 16 years, including stops at Cyprus High, West High, Riverton High, Murtaugh, ID, and Hunter Jr. High Schools.


This next season figures to be an exciting season for the Jordan Beetdiggers. Jordan will return the bulk of a JV group that went 19-1 last season, but will return very little varsity experience from last year. Some of the season highlights this year include the season opener on November 28th against Cyprus High. A week later Jordan travels to play at Alta High in the "Alta/Jordan Challenge" against Northridge and Snow Canyon High Schools. The Beetdiggers will then travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to take on power Cimarron-Memorial on December 13th and Shadow Ridge on December 14th. After a quick Christmas break, Jordan will host the 16 team invitational in the "Jordan Holiday Classic" on Dec. 27-31. This will be a 4 game guarantee tournament for sophomores, JV, and Varsity teams featuring several top teams from the State of Utah. Region play will begin on January 11th at defending Region 3 champion West Jordan High School.
